Summary
Jim's name is staticed out.
Jim arrives home, making a sarcastic comment about average teenager, average day while looking at the amulet. For those observant, they may notice Jim does a lot of leaning and stiff movements throughout the memory when more idle.
His mother is having tea with Nomura, his mother prompting him to apologize for breaking into the museum. Which he does. With venom. And then proceeds to threaten her, to his mother's shock. Right up until she suddenly passes out.
Then Nomura's turn to be threatening, apparently here to kill Jim. He goes for his bag and Nomura throws him across the house, only stopping because he hit the stove partway. He goes for the knives, but Nomura is a step ahead, changing from a human woman into a tall, magneta, very pointy stone monster. (For those who saw S during monster bingo, there are some similarities of species.) Jim then uses less conventional kitchen gear to defend himself rather expertly (including a frying pan), and get away from her, going for his bag. He is very zippy. He pulls out the amulet and uses it to block an attack, a wave of energy blasting out of the amulet, separating all three of them.
Jim bolts upstairs, and the bathroom and somehow, the amulet has appeared behind his mirror??? Nomura meanwhile is on the hunt for him, whistling 'In the Hall of Mountain King.'
'For the glory of Merlin, daylight is mine to command' is whispered and then in a flash of light blue light, armor forms over him.
Jim's movements are more obviously pained, barely able to stand as he readies for a fight.
But when the door bursts open, there is no Changeling attack and the sound of a fight. Jim rushes to see what's happened and sees another stone monster, Draal, fighting Nomura. When Jim goes to get involved, Nomura guns for him immediately, before Draal gets in the way.
There is obviously some History between the two. They've fought before, Nomura finds it a surprise he's honorable, also his dad has died recently and some guy named Bular apparently liked the way he'd scream. Also Jim is the Trollhunter.
They fight more until Draal eventually just yeets Nomura into the night. And calls her an Impure because even trolls have racist language.
Then Draal says Jim is right and Jim hopefully asks that Draal isn't there to kill him. Draal assures him he's not there to kill, but protect.
Jim just accepts that immediately, the armor vanishing and amulet falling. Draal picks it up and gives it this Look before holding it out, telling Jim to 'not make it weird' which is a little odd compared to how he's been talking.
Jim asks if he's okay and Draal says he is. Then he tells Jim his battles won't always be in arenas where he can study his opponents like he did Draal. Jim is indeed this Trollhunter and its time to 'start being afraid.' Which is said like this is the thing to be doing and not even in a derogatory way.
Draal can't go back to Trollmarket, so he has decided to guard Jim's home. Jim is worried because his mother doesn't know about this and may not take well to troll in her house, but Draal just ignores him, heading for the basement. Jim decides to accept him living in the basement, since it does protect his mother.
Draal also protects, he does not clean, so Jim has to clean up from the battle.
Fleshbag is a name for humans.
Draal thinks maybe Jim can be a good Trollhunter after all and he'd be proud to fight by his side.
